We had the opportunity to interview Hon. James Moore the Minister of Heritage and Official Languages at the Golden Spike Days Fundraiser. His Federal Ministry is responsible for Canada‘s Arts, Culture, and Media. Moore recently announced a $50,000 grant for the Golden Spike Festival, which had been at risk of cancellation due to the elimination of BC Gaming funding. Moore recognizes the value of a $46 Billion industry and speaks of the Federal Government’s commitment to the Arts.
