Sound Therapy Radio was honoured to produce the CJSF contribution to the 9th Annual Homelessness Marathon which is produced by CKUT in Montreal. This Broadcast featured 14 hours of continuous programming dedicated to giving the homeless a voice by contributions from stations across this country. The feed was picked up by 31 stations in Canada and heard around the world via the internet.
With the help of the Simon Fraser Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association, we broadcasted from the the cold streets of Maple Ridge from 10pm to 11pm (Pacific). In addition to the mental health issues of the show host, there were some technical issues with the equipment, so please excuse the audio quality of the broadcast. Rest assured the content was 100% real.
Thank you to Christina Alconcel and Ron Janzen for their beautiful musical contributions throughout the evening.
A special Thank You to Heather Steele and her clients for sharing their stories of creative survival.
